I read some of the tips Ted put in the first post here. I did similar. I did some research on the type of items that sold. I went wholesale the first 5 years where I sold to furniture stores - we had a route within 3 states and delivered to them regularly. So if you are looking to sell your own items, I would try local shops and furniture stores to see how that goes. Just take them your product and ask. They won't shoot you down, they will just say yes or no.

Don't forget festivals and trade days. You can find the local trade days and festivals in your area by just doing a search in Google.
