A serving tray in layman’s terms is just a tray that you put your food on as you sit outside, watch television, or eat anywhere really – away from the dining table.
If you live where I do in redneck territory, they call it a “TV tray.” As Jeff Foxworthy puts it, some even use it as a TV stand. (Please don’t do that with this project, it definitely isn’t recommended.)
But the serving trays that you purchase at the store are fine aren’t they? Well, not usually. They are flimsy, and not really the best of quality, nor do they look so hot most of the time. So I found this great video that shows you how to build a nice little tray in order for you to eat off of when you are away from the table. Make a number of them for when you have your friends over, watching football, or any occasions.
You can also use it for tea and crumpets on a daily basis if you are from England. I am not of that class, so I am going to stick with my own daily ritual.
